Color Pencil and Pastel on Paper, 17.5in. by 22.5in.
(19.5in. by 24.5in. with acrylic glass frame)
This work is an allegory of time. Borrowing from Christian Icons the halo around the head, the goal is to glorify time as something we worship.
To further explain the rest of the symbolism:
The nonchalant face resembles the uncaring attitude of time towards us. The seeming breath shapes are the past and future. The small 8 circles, with silver human hands, show a variety of emotions we experience throughout our times. The blue background is supposed to be water, standing for all the forms and directions our lives have.
